2. Listen to Japanese podcasts & radio stations
Watching Japanese TV shows and drama works to some extent, but podcasts and radio stations are better because you can easily listen to them on the go.
You can’t really do that while watching Japanese shows and drama, even anime.

It would also be better if you practised speaking Japanese with other people to gain conversational knowledge of the language.
